Tomorrow is what may be Chris's last concert as a composer at Wayne State University. The Chris Skebo Ensemble will be performing his "Variation for Jazz Quintet" at 7:30pm in the Schaver Music Recital Hall in Old Main. Today at 7:00pm will be Chris Skebo's recital in the Shaver Music Recital Hall in Old Main. More information can be found in the "Performances" link here on the website.
Director Jeff Bowlby began filming today for the documentary titled: Christopher M. Skebo - Mind and Music. This film will chronicle the music of Skebo and give everyone an inside look at the man behind the madness. There will be a short version posted on the website in late December, and the full film will be finished in early 2007. More news to come...

Skebo will be doing a lecture at Wayne State University on his music for the composition students, today at 3:00. The lecture will be heal in room 1307 in the Old Main building located on 480 West Handcock, all are welcomed to attend. Don't forget to mark your datebooks for the Chris Skebo Recital next week.

Chris Skebo has recieved a new commission for a dance piece. The work is to be for piano and percussion. Performance of this piece will be in late winter 2006. More details will be posted as information becomes available.

Chris Skebo has been awarded an Undergraduate Research Grant by Wayne State University to further his compositional work. The grant is for the creation of a new work to be premiered in the fall of 2006. More news about this work will be posted as details develop.
